Air Swimmers - Now this is just too cool

My father sent me a link to this video for a couple of fish and shark shaped balloons with attached remote-controlled moving tail fins and ballast. You can actually make these things swim through the air by remote control. You have to see the video to believe it.

They have two versions available: shark and clownfish.

I forgot we went on the Curse of DarKastle ride. Here's a video someone took of it. You wear 3-D glasses during the ride, so you'll notice lots of double images.

A Favorite Movie

I watched this (not for the first time) on IFC this weekend. I'm not a gospel type of guy, to be sure, but good music is good music. It's based on The Odyssey, in case you hadn't heard.



This is one of those songs that make me wish I could play guitar and sing.

Extreme Blending

I was looking at Scientific American online and stumbled upon their article "20 Gadgets We Love." On the last page was an intriguing item: a blender. What's so great about a blender? Well, they linked to this YouTube video of the blender reducing a handful of marbles to glass dust.

The blender is by Blendtec, and they have a whole series of Will It Blend videos, from ice to oysters (with shells), to rake handles.
